FROM TRADITION TO FUTURE

Since 1971, three generations have put heart and effort to continue growing without losing the essence. Today we continue to look to the future, true to our passion for getting it right.

1936

LUIS CASANOVA IRANZO

Born in Valencia, in the heart of a family with a solid business tradition. From a young age, he showed a clear entrepreneurial vocation and a great interest in the food sector.

1971

FOUNDATION OF THE MASTER'S DEGREE IN FOOD

Luis Casanova Iranzo founded Caster with his friend and investment partner Miguel Zapater, owner of La Casera. The company was born with an innovative proposal for the time: the production and packaging of jams in individual jars.

1975

KETCHUP CASTER

Caster introduces its flagship product: ketchup in plastic packaging, quickly becoming a key reference in the market and the brand’s flagship.

1980S

COMMITMENT TO INNOVATION

The range of products is expanded with the addition of mustard. Luis Casanova Iranzo personally travels to Stuttgart (Germany) to train and acquire specialized machinery, marking a milestone in the technological development of the factory in Moncada.

1990

ADVERTISING SPOT CÁSTER

Our first spot brought Caster ketchup to thousands of homes, making it a must-have at the dinner table. An ad that reflects the passion and innovation that has defined us since our beginnings.

YEARS 1990

INDUSTRIALIZATION AND GROWTH

Advanced machinery for single-dose packaging is incorporated, which allows Caster to position itself as a leading company in the HORECA channel (hotel, restaurant and catering).

2000

SECOND GENERATION

The generational handover begins. Luis Casanova López and Ángeles Casanova López, children of the founder, take over the management with the aim of consolidating growth and further professionalizing the company’s management.

2005

EXPANSION OF FACILITIES

To meet the growing demand, the production plant in Moncada was expanded with new packaging lines and increased logistic storage capacity.

2012

INTERNATIONALIZATION

Exports to European and Latin American markets are initiated, actively participating in international fairs and establishing alliances with distributors abroad.

2015

DIGITIZATION OF THE COMPANY

A comprehensive ERP system and new digital traceability tools were implemented, modernizing production and management processes.

2017

PORTFOLIO EXPANSION

A new range of sauces and dressings is launched, diversifying the catalog to serve the foodservice channel as well as retail and co-packing for third parties.

2019

COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

Caster initiates its commitment to the environment by introducing recyclable packaging and more energy-efficient processes throughout the production chain.

2021

THIRD GENERATION

Ernesto Carrascosa Casanova, grandson of the founder, takes over the management with the mission of preserving the family legacy, maintaining the essence of the brand and bringing a modern vision, focused on innovation, sustainability and international expansion.
